Omega Seamaster automatic (bumper) chronometer, officially certified. c1954

Very nice, totally original, Seamaster chronometer from the early fifties. The early Seamaster case with its very heavy lugs, make this a very attractive watch to wear.
The stainless steel case, which is 35mm in diameter, is in excellent clean unmarked condition. The distance between the strap lugs is 18mm. The press in back is in extremely good condition, light surface scratches only from normal careful use. The inside of the case back is signed, Omega Watch Co, Fab Suisse, Swiss made, patent applied, and fit washer in back, (in 4 languages). The case reference number 2767-10 SC. The case o'ring seal is intact and in good condition. The inside of the case back has several service marks.
The original dial is signed Omega automatic chronometer, officially certified, Seamaster, Swiss made. The dial is now 51 years old, and considering that, is in exceptional condition. The dagger shaped dauphine hands and centre sweep seconds hand have aged slightly, but are still in good condition.
What is partiularly attractive about this watch dial are the raised faceted stainless batons, double at 12, 3, 6, and 9. When you move the watch they catch and reflect the light.
The movement in this watch is something else. Lovely and clean copper gilt auto bumper movement in amazing condition. This movement was created in 1952, and is an officially certified chronometer grade movement. It is signed, Omega Watch Co Swiss, adjusted to five (5) positions and temperature, 17 jewells. The calibre number is 354 and the movement serial number is 14313537, which dates the watch to 1954. The movement has been cleaned and serviced, is all original, and is running strongly. It is in lovely condition. When you pick this watch up, the rotor swings and off it goes, it doesn't seem to need winding up.
The Omega crystal is signed in the centre as it should be, and it is in good condition, no cracks, no scratches, lovely and clear.
What is also nice with this watch is to see the original winding crown, signed as it should be with hardly any signs of wear. Its operation is still nice and positive with no looseness.
The watch is fitted with a new, black, genuine leather Omega strap and stainless Omega buckle.
This is a very nice watch in lovely original condition.
