Omega Constellation automatic date 14ct gold cap c1964 Lovely condition Constellation from 1964. The whole watch is in superb condition and has been very well looked after. I think I prefer these traditional round watch cases, and this one has that well made sturdy look.
The genuine Omega crystal is in perfect condition with no surface scratches. Signed in its centre as it should be.
The 'hidden' gold winding crown does not show any signs of wear, its operation is nice and positive with no looseness, and it is signed with the Omega symbol. Quick set date feature on this watch.
The original dial is in pristine condition with no marks or spotting, and is signed, Omega Constellation chronometer officially certified. It has a date window at three o'clock. The dial has hand rivetted gold hour markers and gold dauphine hands. It has a centre sweep seconds hand.
The Omega movement is in superb shape. It has just had a clean and service and is running well. The chronometer grade movement is signed, Omega swiss 24 (twentyfour) jewels. Its calibre is 561, and its movement serial number is 21303639, which dates the watch to 1964.
The case is in stainless steel with a 14ct gold cap. The case is in lovely condition and is not scratched or damaged.
The screwdown stainless case back carries the constellation observatory symbol, embossed in 14ct gold. The inside of the case back is signed Acier inoxydable fab suisse swiss made, and carries the case reference number CD168.004.
The watch is fitted with a genuine black leather Omega signed strap, with a gold signed Omega buckle.
One of the nice things about this watch is that it comes in its original Omega box, which is still in good condition.
All in all a superb watch from the sixties.
